Boca Raton Regional Hospital recently broke ground on a 40,000-square-foot rehabilitation center.
Construction of the Gloria Drummond Physical Rehabilitation Institute is supported by a $10 million lead gift by Elaine J. Wold in honor of Drummond, a founder of the non-profit hospital. It will serve as an expansion of the Davis Therapy Centers.
The facility will feature physical, occupation and speech therapists; orthopedic rehabilitation; sports medicine; cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation; wound care and a hyperbaric center; a diabetes center; a neurological rehabilitation center; and an aquatic therapy center.
It should be completed by summer 2016. DPR Construction is the general contractor on the project.
