Developer breaks ground on two buildings in Flagler Station

Two industrial buildings totaling 25,000 square feet have recently broken ground in Flagler Station in northwest Miami-Dade County.

This is the third phase of Flagler Global Logistics’ business park. Hernandez Construction, an affiliate of Fort Lauderdale-based Stiles, is the general contract on these two buildings.

The third phase of Flagler Station will total 1.7 million square feet. These two buildings are the first part of that phase.

“With Phase II almost at capacity and demand for quality industrial space reaching its highest level in years, the timing was right to bring Phase III to fruition,” Chris Scott, president and CEO of Flagler Global Logistics, said in a news release. “Hernandez Construction shares Flagler Global Logistics’ vision to deliver premier facilities that support businesses in the industrial sector.

Hernandez Construction has nearly completed work on five buildings for a total of 820,000 square feet in the second phase of Flagler Station.

“Flagler Station is one of the most impressive developments in Miami, and we are very proud to be a part of this landmark project,” said Alex Hernandez, president of Hernandez Construction. “Our experience in building state-of-the-art industrial spaces that are both efficient and functional made us a perfect fit for this project. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Flagler Global Logistics while growing our presence in South Florida.”
