The apartment craze in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village neighborhood could get a new player.
The city’s Development Review Committee will consider plans for the Morgan on 3rd Avenue on July 28. The $75 million project would have 357 apartments, 4,292 square feet ground floor retail, and 506 parking spaces.
Flagler Village is just north of downtown Fort Lauderdale, a once overlooked area that is now full of new mid-rise apartment buildings.
Morgan on 3rd Avenue would be built on a 2.9-acre site that takes up nearly an entire block. It’s located from 428 to 400 N.E. 3rd Ave. on the east side and from 441 N.E. 4th Ave. to 359 N.E. 4th Street on the west side. The application was filed by land owners Putnam Realty and 441 Developers, both of which are managed by Cecile Feldman and Ronald W. Feldman in Fort Lauderdale.
Units would range from 575 square feet for a studio apartment to 1,446 square feet for a three-bedroom unit. The seven-story project would include a pool and amenity room.
MSA Architects and Botek Thurlow Engineering designed the site plan.
