Developer proposes condo in downtown Delray Beach

Plans for the Metropolitan, a 48-unit condominium, are pending in downtown Delray Beach.

The Metropolitan at Delray LLC, a Boca Raton-based company headed by Michael Morton, filed the development application with the city and has the site at the northeast corner of Southeast 3rd Avenue and Southeast First Street under contract. It’s just south of the popular Atlantic Avenue entertainment strip.

Its plans call for a five-story building with 5,059 square feet of retail and office plus 48 parking spaces on the ground floor and the 48 condos on the upper floors. It would also have 15 surface parking spaces.

It was designed by Richard Jones Architecture.
