Developers announce oceanfront condo tower in Pompano Beach

A team of international developers revealed plans for a 72-unit condo tower along the ocean in Pompano Beach.

Fernbrook Florida plans to build the 19-story Sabbia Beach at 730 N. Ocean Blvd. It acquired the property for $10.5 million in May 2014. The architect on the project is Miami-based Arquitectonica, with Interiors by Steven G. as the interior designer.

“Buyers looking for new construction directly on the sand will find one of the very few places left to experience this lifestyle in South Florida,” said Danny Salvatore, a partner in Fernbrook Florida, in a news release. “Future residents of Sabbia Beach will have the Atlantic Ocean as their backyard.”

Preconstruction prices start in the low $900,000s, and units will range from two to four bedrooms. There will also be two penthouse suites and four lanai residences. Units will feature floor-to-ceiling sliding-glass doors and large balconies.

Amenities will include a fitness center, treatment/massage rooms, a tasting room, a yoga area and a valet.

The developer is a partnership of Fernbrook Homes in Canada and Federico Fernandez, head of Venezuelan developer Grupo Fernandez. It plans to break ground in fall 2015 and complete the building in 2017.

“Buyers are moving north from Miami and Fort Lauderdale as oceanfront land has become rare and more expensive,” said Amy Ballon, a partner in Hemisphere Sales Group, the broker for the project. “Our developers understand this trend and have set out to create a landmark building.”
