Fort Lauderdale to consider 306,520-square-foot industrial building

Bridge Development wants to build a 306,520-square-foot industrial building in Fort Lauderdale.

Chicago-based Bridge Development is seeking city approval to build a 306,520-square-foot industrial building in Fort Lauderdale.

The city’s Development Review Committee will consider the Bridgepoint I-95 project at its June 9 meeting. Bridge Development has the 17.5-acre site at 2200 W. Sunrise Blvd. under contract with current owner A & N Properties, managed by Albert Mancini Jr. The property is on the west side of Interstate 95 at the Sunrise Boulevard exit.

The application says the existing building of 78,310 square feet that was built in 1958 would be torn down and replaced with a new warehouse that would be 43-feet tall and have dozens of truck bays in the back. The project would also have 386 parking spaces.

A national developer of industrial space, Bridge Development sold the new Bridge Point – Port 95 in Dania Beach in 2014 for $26.7 million.
