Ten-story condo project in Coral Gables receives design approval

The 10-story Merrick Manor condominium project received design approval from the Coral Gables Board of Architects.

The Astor Companies’ project would have 224 units at 301 Altara Ave. It paid $4.2 million for the property in 2012.

“This announcement is just another step toward groundbreaking in 2015 for the Merrick Manor project,” Henry Torres, president of Astor. said in a news release. “There has been a lot of excitement surrounding our project and we are delighted to be able to continue to provide luxurious, as well as accessible, urban living to our residents.”

The condos in Merrick Manor will range from one bedroom and 574 square feet to five bedrooms and 3,200 square feet. Amenities include 9,000 square feet of health, wellness and spa facilities, a pool, valet parking, and a business center.

It’s across the street from the Merrick Park shopping complex.
